Tales of Hazard

Part 1 

EPISODE 1: The beginning

      One of the most annoying things in life is to get dressed for an occasion and then it starts to rain. My name is Ahmed Sultan, but my friends call me Hazard. I sat on the front steps wishing I could control the weather like they do in the movies. A few minutes ago my crush had called and asked if i could escort her to the mall. With adrenaline coursing through my veins, I was in and out of the shower in less than three minutes. I could not let this opportunity pass me by.

     It all began with a wink. Just a wink. My best friends Ato and Sadia had come with me to the bus stop. The area clown, Hafiz, just shouted my name,"Hazard, Hazard". Honestly the theory behind that name remains a mystery to me. Anyway, I turned to respond to him then I saw her. A beauty beyond explanation. I totally forgot what i was going to say to Hafiz. I stared at her for so long that I missed the bus when it came to pass. Sadia laughed like she had seen Santa belly-dancing. I had to wait for another bus, but like they say, out of every crisis comes a great opportunity. The lady who caused me to miss my bus, was heading the same way as me so we sat in the same bus. She was one seat in front of me, but there was this guy sitting beside her and automatically I did not like him...he was a threat to my cause. I waited for a passenger to alight then I zoned in on her. I started with my administrator password, "Nice dress". She smiled as she said thanks. I almost melted. Seemed like the ice was broken so i proceeded to chat with her.

'So, what's the name of the body in the dress?'

'Jewel'

'You mean Jewel as in jewel in jewelries?'

'Hahahaha, yes that Jewel'

'Wow, so I can pick any jewel I want and call you that?'

She smiled,'I guess so.'

'OK then, "Ruby"'

'Ruby sounds cool. What about you, what's your name?'

'What would you like to call me?',I asked.

'Uh, how about "Mystery man"?'.

At that moment I thought,'oh God what did i just do?'. But she was grinning so hard that I blurted out 'OK. Name is Ahmed by the way'. We chatted till we got to her stop and then exchanged numbers. I headed towards home to celebrate my newly found Jewel. Little did I know that I had Korean drama waiting for me at home.
